Transfers and Deletions

I deleted some more old blogs and merged some others... namely my art blogs. I will add the links in this blog to Firemind.

Blog Changes

Since Firemind has been upgraded to the new Blogger most of my blogging will take place there. This blog will feature odds and ends that don't fit FM or have more of an edge to them.

I just added a widget for del'icio.us and one for Tailrank at the bottom of the page.

Blogger LabelSearch

I created a Custom Search Engine for Big Blog Directory and I am testing it here. See LabelSearch in the sidebar,

New Song

I added a new song to the sidebar. It is a weird Christmas one.

Testing Widgets

I have been testing blog widgets at my beta-blogger test blog. These widgets are used in the template/page elements. I store the code (if possible) in posts because my page elements will change periodically.

A few more videos have been posted to 2 Lazy 4 Video.

I should post again to Firemind...when i can stop playing computer games. ^__^

Blogs And Links

I have been blogging steady at Firemind, Big Blog Directory, and 2 Lazy 4 Video. the first because it's my main blog, the second because it's my passion, and the third because it's fun and I want to get the blog going.

If you really want to learn about me go to Firemind. When I can transfer my account to beta-blogger this blog will probably die or mutate into something else. It is a good little intro into my weird mind though. ^__^

2 Lazy 4 Video is a group blog that is all about music videos. I am looking for new members. You need an old blogger account. Beta-blogger/Google accounts don't work with group blogs yet but I sent an invitation to one of my email addresses and was able to create an old account so I could join the blog.

Big Blog Directory is a place to list your blog and find blogs to read. It is starting to get some notice. I post blog related stuff there.

I added a link to Firemind on my beta-blogger profile and listed my msn for the first time. If you want to add me let me know who you are.

I added two blogs to my links here. Adam linked this blog and I have been reading his blog. I have been reading Andy's blog and decided to link it. I will probably add these links to Firemind later.

This post is getting a bit long so I should quit. I will work on other blogs this weekend although I want to give readers at Firemind a chance to catch up. I don't expect people to read all of my blogs or to keep up with me.

The restrictions on some troops have to be lifted. I don't want troops killed because allies refused to help them. Our troops are in Afghanistan for a reason. Let them do their job effectively or pull them out. If certain countries can't do their job then send them home.

All Blogged Out

Wheee! I am tired of blogging for now. I need some sleep. I posted at Firemind and at Big Blog Directory. I added 5 blogs to the directory too. I am getting comments here from the bloggers I comment using this account. I may link to some blogs I am reading but I will probably do it from Firemind since I like to keep my blog reading list in one spot. I could link from both. Gah, this blog complicates my blogging life. ^__^. (I am just too lazy to switch accounts sometimes.)

Reading Blogs/Sunday

I was checking up on comments I left in various blogs. I have been using this account to comment so anyone checking my profile will see BBD. I have found some interesting blogs that I may link to from here or Firemind if I keep reading them.

I had a fairly busy day involving rain, Vanilla Caramel Cake, more rain, and some book and computer game browsing. Today was nice but now I am tired.

I will write a quick post for BBD and then play a game for a while. One benefit of having this blog is that I don't have to keep switching back to Firemind when I want to post some quick thoughts. Meh, I am lazy tonight. LOL.

Bah

I tried to comment on in a blog written by a young aspiring author but couldn't. I tried both my old and beta blogger accounts. Nothing worked. I could try commenting on a beta-blog but I don't feel like it.

I have ideas for posts at Firemind and as long as Blogger holds out most of my writing will be in that blog. Big Blog Directory is getting noticed but the feedback and interest is sooo slow.

I ned to kill something so I am off to AOMG.

Blog Stuff

I did some work at Big Blog Directory (BBD). I just listed a blog from India that deals with cartoons, videos and so on. I created the BBD Blog aspect of the site to write about blogging. I also linked to the blog in the sidebar of this blog.

Xanga is a weblog service and host. There are many different blogrings (groups) to join including "I LOVE GAY MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", "SEX IS MY SPORT!!!", and "gay 13 year olds".

Testing Meebo Me

Meebo Me is a cool widget that allows visitors to blogs and other websites to IM the site owner. I signed up with Meebo and created a widget which I added to the sidebar at Firemind.

I tested Meebo Me by opening Firemind in two browser windows. Each instance of Meebo Me was separate and private. Here is a screenshot of one of the conversations.



I have to be signed into Meebo to chat but that is okay. It opens up another level of communication with readers.

Working On The Blog (Email And Profile)

I wrote a post at Firemind and linked to this blog. I then came back here and worked on my sidebar and profile.

I originally added my "spam email" to my sidebar. I had to use an "HTML/JavaScript" page element and code in the 'mailto:' by hand. The regular "Link List" wouldn't work. After some thought I decided to add the email to my profile and delete it from my sidebar. I may add it later.

The email is my Fastmail account and I only check it once a week or so. If you have my Gmail then use that instead. I will give my Gmail out to friends.

I think my Profile is complete for now. I may add my AIM or another IM later on. I may add a picture too.

Introduction

Hi, my name is Leon and I am experimenting with the new beta version of Blogger. I have been blogging since 2003. My first blog was a "work project" for a volunteer job. It was a Blogger blog and and I learned a lot while it was in use.

I decided to start a personal blog called Firemind at Diaryland. I eventually moved it to Blogger and it is still my main blog. I will be writing my 1100th post soon. Sometimes I want to start fresh because Firemind is so big and has so many good and bad memories associated with it. Whenever I try other blogs and blogging services I find myself returning to Firemind. It just feels like my home on the 'Net.

The name of this blog is Braindance. I have used it twice before in Wordpress blogs. The name is whimsical and also fits my way of thinking. Sometimes My mind does seem to dance a jig when I get good ideas. :)



Come "dance" with me. I don't know what will happen here or how long I will stay. I will promise that things won't be boring.
